What is VoIP?
Voice over Internet
Protocol (VoIP), is a technology that allows you to make
telephone calls over your high-speed/broadband internet
connection instead of the traditional Public Switched Telephone
Network (PSTN).
TinCanTalk VoIP works just like the traditional telephone
you're accustomed to and likely have in your home today. You
simply dial the number for the person you wish to speak with and
it connects you to them wherever they may happen to be in the
world.
VoIP converts the voice signal into a digital signal and
passes it over the internet. If you are calling a standard
phone number, TinCanTalk converts the digital signal back to
analog before it reaches the other end.
